HOFT HOMES GROUND SCREWS is a family run business with over 35 years experience of the Civil Engineering and Building Industries. We have been looking for an economical and more environmentally friendly way of constructing a foundation without the need of concrete.
We spoke to many companies and manufacturers. As a result we have teamed up with RADIX, a company based in Scotland. RADIX were the most helpful and knowledgeable people we spoke to. We are proud to install the industry-leading screw piles from RADIX, the UK’s largest ground screw company that designs and manufactures practical, low-carbon structural base systems to support all scales of projects with minimal impact on our environment.
Made from strong, structural steel, RADIX Screw Piles deliver the low-carbon alternative to traditional concrete-based foundations, providing a rapid, robust, and sustainable base for infinite commercial and domestic applications. With their ability to be installed and removed with minimal impact, screw piles can support all scales of temporary and long-term projects.
Engineered and independently tested to the highest standards, each RADIX Screw Pile is capable of supporting point loads exceeding 75kN in suitable ground conditions and withstanding substantial uplift and horizontal forces with its continuous helix delivering increased levels of friction underground.
